Length of session
The longer time we have, the more photos you get to choose from, however, there are certain scenarios that require more time in order to achieve the best photo session.
Families with small children: A two-hour photo session is recommended. Two hours allows plenty of time for snacks, breaks or just time spent running around (kids need to burn off that energy)! Two hours also allows time for children to feel comfortable in their surroundings and enables them to start showing off their true personality.
Babies: A two-hour session (or more) is recommended. Feeding, changing and making the baby feel at ease takes time, and that doesn’t necessarily include actually taking photos.
Maternity: A one or two-hour session is recommended, depending on the nature and extent of creativity of the session. Please contact me to discuss any ideas and visions and we can determine a suitable session length.
Preparation Make sure everyone is well rested and fed. Children can sense stressful energy and often react to it. If the plan is to meet at a park or another outside location, then make sure to bring snacks, a drink and a change of clothes for children.
What to wear Keep clothing simple and stay away from any clothing with written logos. Bare feet are always a nice touch. If there is more than one child, outfits can be similar, but it's not necessary to have them matching (do we really match each other every single day?) If your child has a favorite hat, toy or superhero costume, feel free to bring it!
Rescheduling If you need to reschedule your shoot please try to give me 48 hours notice. I know things happen (kids get sick, the car doesn’t start, or even you get sick!) but please do your best to let me know ahead of time.
After the session Approximately 2-4 weeks after your session, a password protected online gallery will be available to view and place your print order. Once print payment is made, please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery of prints. Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and checks are accepted. Orders will not be placed until payment is received in full. All images will remain on file should you ever desire additional reprints at a later date.
